Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
To carry out service, MOT or other related work to your vehicle.
By recovery companies, for example the AA or RAC if your vehicle is brought to us on your behalf.
By insurance companies, if we are carrying out accident repairs for example 
By warranty companies, if we are repairing your vehicle on behalf of a warranty claim.
We use the information that you have given us in order to carry out the day to day business of Direct Autocare. 
We may share this information with UK law enforcement, if we are so required to do so.

In the normal running of our business we may supply or fit parts to your vehicle including tyres, brakes exhaust etc. 
We sometimes use this information alongside your name, reg number or vehicle vin to ensure that we can accurately identify which parts have been fitted should any issues arrive, such as a warranty claim or vehicle performance issue.
Some information is provided via our website when you browse its pages.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
In general we aim to limit the use of your personal information and to securely destroy it once it is no longer necessary.

Your information is securely stored at Direct Autocare, Leeds Road Garage, Otley, LS21 3BD. 
We keep all data for 7 years. We then dispose of your information by securely shredding or incinerating any paperwork.
